The
Ambassador chess set is a very traditional chess set, a perfect combination of
light weighted pieces which are made of hornbeam and sycamore wood. Its large
playing field is the perfect set piece for exciting chess matches.The pieces
and the chess case are hand-crafted and they have many ornaments burned on the
dark squares of the board. The board is made from beech and birch wood that
gives it a classic, handmade feel that many chess enthusiasts will appreciate;
number and letter algebraic coordinates adorn the borders; when folded, the
board is held securely shut with 2 brass clasps.The Ambassador chess set is a
high-quality set of wood (beech), decorated with a technique called pyrography
(burning on wood). Each chessboard grid is hand-painted in natural colors and burned
on wood. In the middle of the half-folded board there is a liner covered
with a green velour coating to store the pieces. The
chessboard is covered with burned ornaments on all sides. Carved
figures like the chess board have burned ornaments and are made of solid wood
(beech). All figures has elegant slim shape and are glued on the bottom
with a green felt. Carved figures are beige and dark brown and are made of
solid wood (beech).Handcrafted chess pieces are felt
bottom and lightly weighted; they are made from hornbeam and sycamore wood; the
elegantly intricate detail of each playing piece is impressive.Secured chess
pieces compartments provide room inside the board to securely store each chess
piece; each chess piece is individually protected in formed compartments inside
the folding chess board. Classic aesthetics are embodied in this complete
